A Walk Through The French Countryside.

I was recently asked what my hobbies are. Smiling at my companion, with the response on the tip of my tongue, I also laughed a bit at her next statement. She quickly blurted out, “Not what you really do!”.

I loved this statement because so many people confuse my vocation with a hobby. It is a seemingly easy mistake to make. I love what I do. More than that, I work at my hobbies too. They weave themselves in and out of my studio. As you watch here, you will see them develop and inform themselves and my work. I Improve as they do.

Today and for several moving forward, my hiking habit will play a more centered role in the paintings I create. Specifically, images that I captured while hiking through rural France are the subject of the series I am producing. The light and texture of the french forest have never left me. After my firsts experiences there in 2017, I’ve felt an undying connection and enchantment that regularly occupies my mind. I’m thrilled it now demands my palette and canvas.
